The hotel is off the main road so it is VERY quiet. Clean property with pleasant and welcoming staff. Property is a little dated, but clean nonetheless. Manager, Nahye, goes above and beyond to exceed your expectations and he makes sure his staff is doing the same. When I travel to Chesapeake I always enjoy staying here because I know I am going to get good service and a clean room/stay.

Honestly I don’t know why this place has mediocre reviews, I guess there are some people who will never be pleased with what they get unless they’re pampered 24hrs a day in luxury suite with no neighbors for under $100 a month. They would probably still complain. We stayed here for two months and it was great. Number one, the staff are amazing. Super courteous, always professional regardless of the stuff they likely deal with on a daily basis. I really can’t say enough about how professional they were from our check in with Crystal to our daily interactions with all the staff members, to our departure after a two month stay. They were awesome.The rooms are priced great for what they are. Clean, safe, modern and simple with everything included and everything you need for an extended hotel stay. No stress. Prime location, right next to Kroger and down the road from Wal Mart, restaurants and anything else you would ever need. The only negative I would say are some of the slummy guests who do their very best to trash the place, it’s pretty sad that people have no appreciation or respect for the place they stay. Regardless of that, the place is still very nice and the staff do their very best to make keep everything 100.

I’m a travel nurse, my fiancée and I are here for extended amount of time at least through October, I will say Zack and Rayvon are the most pleasant, customer oriented, compassionate people to deal with and if it wasn’t for them and their outgoing, family oriented, customer service experience we definitely would have seemed elsewhere to go, the only reason I am not giving the hotel 5 Stars all the way is due to we have lived here almost 2 months and still have yet had any hot water, we would get hot water for a day , maybe two on and off, and have to take cold showers, I have mentioned it myself directly to the GM and she said it was hard to believe and I invited her to please check herself and she has yet came to see. I have not asked for no refund, nor compensation on it due to I am a very understanding person, however do not appreciate the feeling that I am being called a liar. Until this day we still have no hot water and still continue taking cold showers, and just found out rates are hiking up. Something should be done because we are not the only ones without hot water, but several of us agree the only reason we are here is due to the friendliness, and family oriented environment we receive from Zack, Rayvon, and maintenance, who all try their best to satisfy the guest and we feel they don’t get enough credit for what they do and the hard work they put into their job! THANK ALL OF YALL!!! PLEASE FIX THE HOT WATER!!!

It’s a great hotel and location. The staff is great help. Doug is one of a kind. Friendly and has great communication. The hotel staff welcomes everyone with open arms and the cleaniness is very well. I would recommend people to come if they’re visiting or just taking trips. Definitely a good hotel in the area. Not too far from the mall either.

Ms. Kelly and her team are wonderful! I called to get an early check in Monday and she did everything to accommodate me and my kids! I have 2 rooms here and they are both very clean and comfortable! I just want to say thank you Ms. Kelly for your great spirit and professionalism, you are WONDERFUL!!!

I just have to share how nice everyone is that works here!!! From the general manager Ms Kelly, thw new on site manager Ms Shannon, the front desk, Doug, Rayvon, and Cliff, to the housekeepers and maintenance guys.... They ALL are so helpful and kind!!!! If I could rate everyone a hundred stars I 100% would!!!!!!! Thank you guys for making my stay there a little better. Rayvon truly brightened up my day every single time we'd talk!!! I'm gonna miss y'all for that!

This hotel is the best. Virtually everyone who works here is SO nice, capable, prompt if I have a concern and efficient. The room is great, bed comfortable. This is at Chesapeake Norfolk location; Ive been to another location where some staff was nasty and hard to deal with. However, not here at Sentinel, its all good here. (BTW, I've heard the difficult elements of the other location staff have moved on; the manager himself was great) Add: Time has come we must leave this Sentinel location. I want to thank staff and management for enduring our stay. I appreciate all of you and your unfortunately necessary sometimes patience with us.

Thank you to the front staff. Reasonable rates, and good appliances. We were there for about a month and everything was pretty smooth. Again about out to the front staff because they will help you out and make sure everything us as it should be.
